First Friday's in Florence Monthly Art Fair on the main street of Florence. Live Music. No fee charged to exhibiting artists. Additional entertainment varies, but may include films, street performers, book signings, contests, and community participation events. (Jan - Dec)
Annual Sam Phillips Music Celebration The man who discovered Elvis, Jerry Lee Lewis, Johnny Cash and is known as the "Father of Rock & Roll" was born in Florence. We celebrate Sam Phillip's life during this annual festival which is fairly new, but gaining steam every year. (January)
George Lindsey UNA Film Festival Workshops, educational seminars, screenings, and cash awards are all part of this annual film festival. (March)
Alabama Studio Weekend - This isn't really a festival, but it has become an annual event. Local fashion designers Natalie Chanin, and Billy Reid partner with photographer Robert Rausch to host a weekend getaway for their clients. The weekend attracts national attention from the press. (April)
